These words truly encapsulate her dedication and vision, Mrs. Bindu Sehgal, the Director of the institution, is an academician who is the epitome of perseverance, professionalism, and progress. After joining DPS, R.K. Puram in July 1983, she worked there as TGT (Chemistry) for more than ten years before joining DPS Vasant Kunj in April 1994. At DPS, Vasant Kunj, she became HOD (Chemistry) in April 2000, Senior Mistress in Feb 2003, and Vice-Principal (Offg.) in Sept. 2004.

Mrs. Sehgal took over as Principal of this institution in April 2011. Her role in building up the academic faculty in Science stream at the school has been enormous. As an educationist, she sees as her goal the development of scientific temper and adaptability in her learner group.

Prudent, precise, and a person of few words, she has contributed immensely to the development of DPS Vasant Kunj into an outstanding institution with an established focus on inculcation of discipline and professionalism in the academic training of students. She has provided a balanced emphasis on academics, extracurricular activities, and training for competitive examinations to make the students intellectually competent, physically sound, and socially useful individuals. In recognition of her outstanding contribution to the cause of education, Mrs. Sehgal was awarded the State Teachers' Award 2015. She had also been conferred with Best Principal (Delhi Zone) Award by SOF for six consecutive years up until May 2022. She stepped into the august role of the Director of the famed institution from June 2022. As the Director, she envisions to continue mentoring and guiding the institution to newer heights of excellence.

An expert in Mathematics, Ms. Deepti Vohra is a leader par excellence. She is a gold medalist in Mathematics from the Institute of Advanced Studies, Meerut University. After which, she completed her M.Phil. from University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee), and began her career at Welham Boys, Dehradun.There, at the young age of 23, she started teaching Mathematics to the students of Class XII. Mrs. Vohra joined DPS Vasant Kunj in 1994 as a Mathematics teacher, and later assumed the responsibilities of the Academic Coordinator of the school. Thereafter, she donned the mantle of the Headmistressof the school. As the Headmistress of the school, she spearheaded the administrative team of the school, managing and monitoring crucial aspects of the system.

After successfully completing her stint as the Headmistress, Ms. Deepti Vohra was entrusted with the responsibility of the Vice-principal of the school. Soon thereafter, she took over the prestigious post of Principal of the esteemed institution in June 2022. Through her dynamic personality, strong strategic thinking and keen analytical skills, Ms. Deepti Vohra has established herself as a dynamic educationist and an able administrator. Being a consummate scholar, Ms. Vohra strives to achieve perfection in academic and personal ventures and holds true to the motto of DPS, “Service Before Self”. Her work ethic is unparalleled and inspiring. Her vision is to bring the utmost level of excellence and perfection to every aspect of the school.

In her illustrious career spanning almost three decades, Ms. Deepti Vohra has been an inspirational and committed team person, leading by example.

The portals of Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj welcomed Mrs. Archana Malik in the capacity of their Vice-principal on 1st July, 2022. Having served the school in the capacity of its Headmistress for over six months, she was ably invested with this responsibility. Her sharp intellect and educational prowess saw her being felicitated with a gold medal at the Post Graduate level. She pursued her Masters of Commerce degree from University Business School, Punjab University, Chandigarh.

A committed academician, Mrs Malik began her teaching career at the young age of 21 when she worked tirelessly to establish the Commerce Department at Yadavindra Public School, Mohali. The subject of Accountancy, being her forte, many a high school student has benefitted immensely from her ingenious methodology. In addition, she has also taught young graduates at the MCM DAV College, Chandigarh.

Mrs. Archana Malik joined DPS Vasant Kunj in the year 1997, marking the inception of the Commerce Department at this school. Her able leadership skill set, organizational skills as well as foresight led her to take up an array of diversified responsibilities. She was appointed as the Class Representative for Class XII, for the period 2003-04 to 2016-17. Furthermore, Mrs Malik handled the duty of Examination Incharge with utmost sincerity and went onto become the Academic Co-ordinator.

A dynamic teacher, first and foremost, an academician par excellence, an epitome of perfection and perseverance, DPS Vasant Kunj wishes it’s Vice-Principal the very best. May her endeavours continue to add value to the educational institution!

An epitome of caring hands, a loving heart, a rooted persona, a humanitarian approach and wise intellect received a warm welcome on July 1, 2022 by the Junior School, as it opened its doors to the newly appointed Headmistress of the school – Mrs. Malini K. Sengupta.

Mrs. Sengupta spent her formative years at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, an institution that upholds human values as well as the Kaleidoscopic Indian culture. An alumnus of the prestigious Daulat Ram College, Delhi University, she found her calling in the science of Economics and pursued Economics Honours at the graduate level. Her brilliance and academic acumen once again saw her at the Central Institute of Education, Delhi University in the year 1991. Mrs. Malini K. Sengupta acquired her Bachelor of Education degree from this first major institution of professional learning and research in the field of Education, in the country.

Having made her foray into the field of education and teaching, she joined New Green Fields School, Saket, Delhi immediately after her B.ED, in the capacity of PRT.

Self driven and highly motivated she completed her post-graduation in Economics from Annamalai University in 1993, alongside her teaching assignment. She was promoted to the rank of PGT Economics in 1994 and thereafter joined the DPS family in 1998 as PGT Economics.

Mrs. Sengupta’s prowess as an educationist and an economist has seen many a learner benefit immensely from her experience and versatile teaching methodology. At DPS Vasant Kunj, she was invested with various responsibilities ranging from being the House Warden of Ganges House to being the SUPW Incharge. In addition, she was appointed the Class Representative for grade II. Her deep understanding of child psychology coupled with astute management skills touched the hearts of all learners.

A person of sound integrity, she became the Examination Incharge in the year 2001; a duty she discharged once again with extreme sincerity and dedication. Mrs. Gupta donned the mantle of the Head of the Department, Social Studies in the year 2006. She was further appointed as the Academic Co-ordinator of DPS Vasant Kunj in December, 2021. As the newly appointed Headmistress, Mrs. Malini K. Sengupta brings to the fore decades of administrative and educational experience, expertise and needless to say her signature ‘human touch’.

The young and dynamic headmistress of the middle school, Ms. Mamta Narula, is an innovative educator who prioritises inculcating 21st century skills among students. She joined the DPS Vasant Kunj fraternity as a P.G.T. (Commerce) in 1999. She was appointed as the Academic Coordinator of the middle school, a role she donned with utmost sincerity.

She was awarded the National ICT Award ,2018 for school teachers by NCERT, Ministry of Education. She gained international fame when she represented India at the Microsoft World Wide Innovative Teachers conference held in Prague, Czech Republic, and the Dubai Global Forum to address educators from different countries. She is a pioneer who has done outstanding work to include ICT into regular teaching and learning. She has a Master of Philosophy in Commerce and passed the DOEACC (O-Level) exam administered by the Department of Electronics and Computers. Being a technology enthusiast, she also holds a long list of prestigious titles, including Microsoft Innovative Educator Fellow, Teacher Trainer, and Google Certified Teacher, to name a few.
